Financial Transparency
Kendall County is dedicated to serving its citizens by excelling in all areas of service, financial responsibility, and transparency of actions. This webpage is created to provide the public with complete financial disclosure concerning the Budget, Annual Financial Report, Check Register, Tax Rate, and outstanding Debt. This information is provided by the Kendall County Auditor's Office.
Transparency Stars recognizes local government entities that provide easy online access to important financial data.
The Texas Comptroller's office launched the Transparency Stars program in March 2016 to recognize cities, counties, and school districts making important strides toward greater government transparency. Local government entities can apply for stars in the areas of:
- Traditional Finances
- Contracts and Procurement
- Economic Development
- Public Pensions
- Debt Obligations
Kendall County received its initial star for Traditional Finances in April 2019.
Expenditures and revenues used to calculate the per capita values were derived from all governmental funds of the County. The per capita calculations are based on the U.S. Census Bureau's population estimate of July 1, 2024. Kendall County's estimated population is 51,828.
